Radio-controlled model festival “Mirage”

On September 22, 2012, a Festival of radio-controlled aircraft models is planned to be held; the class of models is not limited!

The venue is the airfield of the Mirage Aircraft Company on the territory of the Zaporizhzhya Flight Training Center.

The purpose of the event is to develop aircraft modeling sports in the region and Ukraine as a whole.

Event format:

 – a festival, i.e. demonstration, spectacular flights

– the class of radio-controlled aircraft models is NOT LIMITED.

The advantage in the performances will be given to large petrol/electric models of aerobatic aircraft (Freestyle),

jet-powered models, replica models, air combat models.

At the end of the event, a prize drawing is planned among the participants.

We invite all interested athletes and amateurs to participate.

The main requirements are compliance with safety measures, adherence to flight regulations and a good mood.

Competition Rules:

Competition 1  – Shooting down balloons.
Objective : in the allotted time of 5 minutes, it is necessary to shoot down the maximum number of balloons.

Competition conditions:  Model airplanes with electric motors may participate in the competition.
20 balloons filled with helium will be located in the flight zone at a height of 10 meters.

Quorum of participants  is 3 people.

Competition 2  – Shooting down poles.
Objective : in the allotted time of 5 minutes, it is necessary to shoot down the maximum number of poles installed on the ground, 1 meter high.

Competition conditions:  Model airplanes with electric motors may participate in the competition.

Quorum of participants  is 3 people.

Competition 3 –  Hunt for the “Bixler”. Objective : it is necessary to cut the ribbon on the tail of the “Bixler”. Competition conditions:  The allotted time for the 1st competition is 10 minutes. Model airplanes with electric motors may participate in the competition. The quorum of participants  is 3 people. The winner  is the participant who completes the greatest number of tape cuts at the Bixler. —————————————————– Competition 4  – races with a battery change. The goal : to fly 30 laps along a given route, reaching the finish. Competition conditions: – model airplanes with an electric motor participate in the competition. – one battery change is mandatory during the competition. The battery is changed directly during the race without stopping the competition. – if the checkpoint is missed, this lap does not count. The quorum of participants  is 3 people. The winner  is the participant who reaches the finish line first. Among the prizes: a replica model of the IL airplane, an ASP internal combustion engine, a micro-helicopter model, an EPP airplane model, etc. Weather 1-2 m / s, let’s hope the time will be fun. P.S., for dessert for those who love the “smell of gasoline,” a flight of a 100-cubic-meter airplane with pyrotechnic effects is planned.
